Zarda Recipe II Masala Cuisine II Ramadan Special

Ingredients:

• Cooking oil 1 tbsp

• Ghee 1 tbsp

• Green cardamom (Hari elaichi) 3

• Cloves (Long) 4

• Cinnamon stick (Daar cheeni) 1/2 inch

• Raisins (Kishmish) 1 tbsp

• Coconut (Narial) 1 tbsp

• Sugar (Cheeni) 1-1/2 cup

• Milk (Doodh) 1/2 cup + 1/4 tsp yellow food color

• Kewra water 1 tsp

• Boiled rice 4 cups

Directions:

In a pot, heat cooking oil and ghee. Add green cardamom, cloves, cinnamon stick, raisins, coconut and saute for a minute. Add sugar, milk+yellow food color and cook until sugar completely dissolves. Now add kewra water, boiled rice, mix well and cook on medium flame until dries up. Zarda is ready.
